It will be an exciting year for Queensland singer/songwriter/bass guitarist Tracey Davis who has just recorded her first original album It’s Hot. The first single and title track was inspired by Tracey’s joy of playing and singing live music and is a catchy, cheeky song about musicians and their instruments. Tracey has been performing at local and interstate gigs for the last five years as part of the Bushfire Band (Rob Davis and Dave Luxmoore).
On this album, Tracey has written 11 appealing and varied songs from ballads to toe tapping bluegrass, all featuring her warm vocals and solid bass playing. There is also a wide mix of instruments including guitar, mandolin, fiddle (Dave Luxmoore), five-string banjo, piano accordion (Rob Davis), pedal steel (Bob Alloway), keyboards (Chris Hartley) and drums (Terry Butler).
