The 2008 Tamworth Festival was outstanding for dynamic five-piece Victorian band Ruckus. Golden Guitar finalists in the Instrumental category for Black ’n’ White, written by their dynamo fiddle player Marcy, winners of the Independent Country Music Bulletin Challenge and TIARA finalists for Instrumental. It’s no wonder the Tamworth Northern Daily Leader described them as “Festival Favourites”.
Their latest album The Other Side has been attracting plenty of attention, and Ruckus intends to release a couple of singles and video clips from the album before returning to the studio to record another CD.
The new single takes the classic Charlie Daniels song into a uniquely Australia setting, the pub, giving it a devilish twist that is driven by superb fiddle playing. It’s a fun offering that will delight.
