Back from Tamworth after winning the Gentleman Geoff Brown TIARA Award for 2008, David Delle-Vergin has released his third single Sing Hello Mary Lou.
This is following on from his first release, Waiting Here, which netted him the 2008 TIARA and a finalist berth in the Male Vocal category at the Victorian Country Music Awards 2007, and the second release It’s Just Turned Drinking Time which scored finalist berths in the TSA/Capital News New Song Writers Award 2008 and Male Vocal, Victorian Country Music Awards 2008.
This song is something different, yet again, showing Dave’s great versatility and his wide music influence. The song is largely auto-biographical and deals with the dilemma of being a songwriter and performer. It has a quirky southern gospel style and will have you singing the chorus almost straight away.
