Port Broughton is ideally situated 170 kilometres north of Adelaide, neighbouring the Mid North, Lower Flinders Ranges, Clare Valley and the Copper Coast. It’s the perfect spot to visit a number of different regions, and it caters for many different interests.

This delightful town is located at the top end of the Peninsula, which means it is a little drier and warmer than much of the rest of Yorke Peninsula. It is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the local seafood and fine cuisine that the peninsula and surrounding districts have to offer.

Port Broughton received its name from the river flowing north of the township, named by Edward John Eyre in 1839 after the first Anglican Archbishop of Australia.

Its attractive beaches are popular with tourists, and people looking to fish and relax, and provides the opportunity to see dolphins, pelicans, and superb sunsets.
